With many years of experience, Larry Puckett has built an impressive career, taking startups from humble beginnings to multimillion-dollar enterprises. As a venture capitalist and founder currently of Theon Global, a growing health and wellness brand, Larry has earned a reputation for his sharp business acumen and deep commitment to helping others succeed. His work spans multiple industries, including finance, technology, and distribution, and his extensive connections have been a key factor in his sustained success.
Currently residing in Texas, Larry’s love for America and passion for entrepreneurship drive him to make a positive impact on both the business world and his community. Reflecting on the current state of American business, Larry acknowledges the influence of social media while warning of its pitfalls. He tells us directly in an interview, “It’s a double-edged sword. Social media and influencers have revolutionized the marketplace, making it easier than ever to reach a massive audience. But at the same time, there are many who misleadingly claim that anyone can start a business without money, help, or structure.”
Larry emphasizes that while marketing strategies may have evolved, the fundamentals of building a business remain the same—legal, accounting, and a balance sheet. His advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is clear: “Get in the hip pocket of those who are succeeding and learn from them. There are no shortcuts.” One of the cornerstones of Larry’s philosophy is the importance of mentorship. He believes strongly that having a good mentor is essential for anyone seeking success. “I believe mentorship is the gateway to success,” he says. Over the years, Larry has benefitted from guidance provided by key figures such as Jeff Hamm, Herb Cepeda, and Bryan Lanphear, who taught him to dream big and navigate the intricacies of growing a business. He also has a current collaborative mentorship with friends and associates Laire Lightner and Colin Wayne. He’s also learned valuable life lessons from his wife of thirty-five years and his parents, who instilled in him the importance of hard work, honesty, and family. Larry credits these relationships for much of his personal and professional growth and now makes it a priority to mentor others in their entrepreneurial journeys.
Currently, Larry’s main focus is Theon Global, an e-commerce health and wellness company he founded with the goal of delivering high-quality, all-natural supplements. Theon Global’s hero product, Alpha Bios, is a premium Fulvic/Humic blend powder that has become a best-seller in the supplement market. Larry and his team took great care in selecting this product, waiting five months before making a decision. “We waited for the right product to come along,” Larry explains. “When another company selling the product went out of business, we seized the opportunity.” This strategic approach has helped position Theon Global as a leader in the natural supplement space. At Theon Global, transparency and quality are top priorities. Every product is third-party tested, and certificates of analysis are made available to consumers for each batch. “We don’t cut corners,” Larry says proudly. “We only source the best ingredients, and we want everyone to know it and verify it.”
Looking ahead, Larry is excited about a new line of products developed in collaboration with a leading biochemist. One of the upcoming launches is a children’s supplement that offers complete nutrition, tastes like cotton candy, and is 100% organic and natural. Theon Global’s future looks bright as it continues to innovate and revolutionize the health and wellness space.
Now, although Larry spends much of his time working in Texas, his heart belongs to his family. He and his wife have worked hard to build a home environment they love, and with their children and grandchildren living close by, family time is a top priority. “Our joy is in being with our kids and grandkids,” Larry says. He and his wife do their best to spend four to five days a week with them, relishing the closeness of their family. While Larry and his wife prefer to stay close to home, they do enjoy traveling around the country when they get the chance. “We get excited about everywhere we go,” he says. Some of their favorite destinations include Seattle, the scenic California coast, and south Florida. The Tennessee Valley holds a special place in their hearts, as it’s where they raised their family, and they still have relatives there; They also love Bardstown, Kentucky, where more family resides. As one who likes exploring all that America has to offer, Larry enjoys some fun too, visiting Las Vegas for the food and entertainment and appreciates the beauty of the Northeast. A lesser-known gem that Larry recommended to us when we chatted was White Sands National Park in New Mexico, and he told us that he is looking forward to visiting Branson, Missouri, soon.
When offering advice to those wanting to start their own business, Larry stresses the importance of preparation and adaptability. “First, get a good attorney and a good accountant,” he advises. “Whatever you think it will cost, double it.” Larry explains that many entrepreneurs fail because they underestimate the costs and end up borrowing money, often losing ownership of their idea as a result. He also emphasizes the importance of resilience. “Get very comfortable with change. Setbacks are opportunities to learn.” Larry recalls a personal setback when a company he worked for closed, leaving him without significant income. “At the time, it was frustrating, but thanks to advice from a mentor, I put my energy into my next big project instead of dwelling on the loss.” This mindset allowed him to recover and succeed, even doubling his lost income within the first month of his new venture.
For Larry Puckett, business is more than just profits—it’s about making a meaningful impact, mentoring the next generation, and constantly learning from every experience. His journey, marked by mentorship, family values, and a relentless drive to excel, serves as an inspiration to entrepreneurs across America. With Theon Global’s success and an exciting future ahead, Larry continues to be a leader and visionary in the business world.
